We are thrilled to present the Knitting kit for Sensommer Vest
Sensommer Vest is a name for the last days of Summer in Danish, and is a light garment designed with Le Petit Organic Cotton, a 100% organic cotton yarn, perfect for the lighter attire.
“When I designed the Sensommer Vest, I wanted an oversize slipover to wear on warmer days, which could also be worn over a shirt or a tee. Because the cotton has a heavier drape than wool, I find that it matches very well with a vest.” – Astrid
Sensommer Vest is designed with a single thread, and a small colourwork pattern on the lower part of the body, bringing a folkloric detail we love, and a joyful contrasting colour. We have 12 colours of Le Petit Organic Cotton, which makes it very fun to choose one's own colour combination!
It is worked in the round up to the armholes and then back and forth. It is also possible to work it in two pieces and knit it back and forth all the way.

- In the photos, the sample is a size Medium and the models are approx. 170cm tall
Construction
Sensommer Vest is a vest that can be worn fitted or oversized. It is worked from the bottom up, starting with a split hem and then worked in the round to the armholes. The upper part is worked flat to shape the armholes. The shoulders are shaped using short rows and we have assembled the shoulders with a 3-needle bind off.

Gauge & Suggested Needles
21 sts and 30 rows/rounds = 10cm [4"] over stockinette stitch and colourwork on the larger needles
It is important to get the right gauge for the vest to get the given measurements

How to Wash
