FORGARN (Unspun)

FORGARN is a semi-finished yarn where the wool has been carded and divided into strands, but it has not yet been spun. The yarn is wound with 2 parallel strands, and both strands are knitted together. Unspun yarn lacks the strength that finished spun yarn has, which makes it fluffy and airy. It is still great to knit off, and once the FORGARN is knitted it gains strength. The FORGARN can also be used for hand spinning, preferably as a base together with other fibers such as dog hair, rabbit hair or similar.

Yarn is delivered in skeins of approximately 200g. The weight varies and we therefore weigh all skeins and adjust the price you pay based on the actual weight.

Running meter: approx. 190 m per 100g

Knitting tension:
Needle 4mm: approx. 18 sts = 10 cm

Needle 5mm: approx. 16 sts = 10 cm

Needle 6mm: approx. 14 sts = 10 cm
