Double Sunday is a DK weight 100% Merino wool non-superwash yarn.
Double Sunday is our thickest variant of 100% merino wool and is the perfect base yarn: a thick, non-superwash treated yarn that can be knitted with single and double strands. It can also be knitted together with Tynn Silk Mohair or Alpakka Følgeträd.
Merino wool is not only insulating, but also wicks moisture away from the body and retains heat even when moist, thanks to the structure of the fibers. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it starts to feel wet.
Our supplier has guaranteed that the wool we buy does not come from sheep that have been subjected to mulesing.

Care instructions:
We always recommend hand-knitted garments be hand washed to ensure the longevity of the garment and to avoid felting. This is especially the case for non-super wash yarns such as Double Sunday.
If you choose to machine wash, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Use wool detergent. Spin well and dry the garment flat out of direct sunlight. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments as this creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
