Børstet Alpakka consists of alpaca fibre twisted together with a strong nylon thread, which holds everything together when the alpaca fibres are brushed. The result is a soft, light and airy yarn with a fuzzy texture.
Alpaca is about three times warmer than ordinary wool and thus insulates well. The fiber is hollow and breathable, so it feels warm in cold temperatures and cool in warm ones.

We always recommend hand-knitted garments be hand washed to ensure the longevity of the garment and to avoid felting.
If you choose to machine wash, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Use wool detergent. Spin well and dry the garment flat out of direct sunlight. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments as this creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
