Alpakka Folgetrad is a lace weight, 100% Alpaca yarn with a slight halo.
Alpakka Folgetrad ("second thread") is a great alternative for Tynn Silk Mohair for those who do not tolerate mohair, or would like less halo than mohair gives.
Sandnes Garn have chosen not to set needle sizes or knitting tension, as we believe it works best as a complimentary thread. Hence the name Alpakka Folgetrad.

We always recommend hand-knitted garments be hand washed to ensure the longevity of the garment and to avoid felting.
If you choose to machine wash, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Use wool detergent. Spin well and dry the garment flat out of direct sunlight. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments as this creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
