3-ply Knitting Yarn is a 3-ply carded yarn made of 100% Norwegian wool. With its 3 threads, this yarn is particularly durable and long-lasting. 3-ply Knitting Yarn is one of our oldest yarn qualities and has been around since the start in 1927. The yarn has mainly been used for traditional sweaters and cardigans in patterned knits, but it is also well suited for both stockinette and structured knits. 3-ply Knitting Yarn produces airy, warm and durable garments. If you are going to knit a good work sweater or a traditional wool sweater, this is the yarn for you. 3-ply Knitting Yarn has a great elasticity, which makes braided structures “pop” and hold their shape well. Garments knitted in 3-ply Knitting Yarn hold up very well over time. For softer garments, knit the yarn together with follower threads such as Plum, Alpaca Silk or Alpakka Linen.
